22 December 2008

Gracyn is now a Hutt Girl again, we have been transfered to the Hutt Hospital SCBU DEPARTMENT (Special care babies unit)This is where it all began just on 10 weeks ago.
She was transfered in her own travel incubator called "Lorraine"(just for you auntie) and arrived at the Hutt at approx 5.30pm this afternoon. All went well and she did,nt seem to be bothered by the move at all.She is still on the low flow system but may resort back to the wgtn c-pap if she gets to tired. This will mean a lot less travel for us and be a great benifit over the xmas period.
We are sad to leave Wellington Neo-Natal unit as we have met so many good people while we have been there. The staff are second to none and only have the best interest of your child at heart and deserve a medal for what they do,The dedication, the support and the honesty has rekindled my faith in the human race. We have bonded with some of the parents while being in the unit making our stay somewhat more pleasent and wish them all the very best for the future, a very Merry Xmas and may your children grow up to be as great as you are.We will make sure that we keep in contact with our fellow exroommates from the NICU so my people will talk to your people.(Ang has all you details thats what i mean.)
So a good and sad day, sad to leave Wellington but Happy to be in the Hutt and one step closer to getting our wee girl Gracyn Home.
More tomorrow.
